I have decided pretty much that I like the look of the HRE547R, but, in researching, I can save a ton of money buying the SSR GT3's which look almost identical. What do you guys think........

SSR GT3

HRE 547R

if you saw them in person, you would think differently. I personally like the SSR GT3 wheel more than the HRE

I personnally have mounted tires on both wheels and seen them after some miles were put on them. The HRE's are a much stronger wheel. The SSR's are very easy to bend. Most of them were not even round when brand new.

First SSR's I ever saw were on a friend's Supra, they didnt look very good when he went across a median and down into a ditch...and into a fence. All 4 were absolutely bent to crap, but any wheel would probably do that after that much trauma. I like the SSR GT3's but not so much for a 996TT. Then again everyone and their brother has HRE these days, be different!

The runout tests we do on the ones we sell have been perfect. Always.

Relax guys - they are not going bankrupt.

They are going through reorganization and have filed for protection from their creditors. They are not broke, and have not gone under. They have assured us that all orders will be filled and there will be no break in availibility.

As a matter of fact, we have 50% more inventory now than this time last year and two containers on the water to us as we speak.

I'll keep you posted as to what is going on, but don't jump the gun just yet - we won't be running out of their wheels anytime soon.

If you're like some of us on the board and change wheels frequently, save some $$$ and get the SSR's

A friend of mine who bought another friend of mines 2004 X50 put the SSR's on and while I think they look good the build quality is not HRE...I had spoken too Wheel Enhancements several times when I had my 996 and they told me alot of people buy the SSR at it is a very good value for the $ however I just like the HRE better...there is so much personal taste in wheel choice you will never get a good vote..even though it seems the HRE's kicked **** in your last pole...GO WITH THE HRE'S MY MAN...ENJOY..!

I think I am addicted to polling Seriously though I have NEVER been so indecisive in my life. This wheel thing SUCKS!! So much so I am almost considering just getting sport techno wheels on my turbo S and calling it a day.
