I have a feeling those scoops behind the wheel help brake cooling and a little downforce on top of it, not sure though.
Word is a few are ont he streets now, but generaly release will be around sept.

i suspect the scoops are functional as well but the way they look it seems that they are an afterthought.
i too was thinking aug/sept for release. just seeing the pics threw me off
