When driving on the Freeway, oil pressure seems steady at around 5. Only jumpy at idle.
Is this normal or is this a symptom of bad oil pressure sending unit ?
Thanks.

In fact it can be a failure of the oil pressure sensor... For more info see https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ure-gauge.html
It also depends on how warm the engine is. 5 while highway cruising would be high if the engine was up to normal operating temperature.
Oil sender failure must be in the air. While driving today, I hit a bump and the pressure dropped to 0 and the failure indicator lit up. As soon as I hit the next bump, everything went back to normal. I guess I'm going to be breaking in my extended warranty soon.
I dont know if the sender is related, but this is how my day ended.
The car lost power under throttle. When I lifted a little, it felt like it was coming back only to die completely. I had 1/4 tank of gas, so I had the wife bring me 5 gal just incase the gauge was off, but nothing.
I hope whatever it is is covered under my extended warranty!!!!

IDk... but the wires are clipped on and they get loose often,,.
maybe the ecu senses that and it puts the car to limp mode...
