Please help, need mod advice...

Hey gang, I have an 03 Turbo with X50 and EP Stg 2 exhaust as well as GIAC flasher, currently running on the 93 Pump tune.

What I would like to know is what mods should I look into next to get me into the 550-600 awhp mark?

Can I just do a boost controller of some sort (Greddy Profec etc.) or do I have to do something else to run more boost? i.e just different wastegates or???

Also I assume I have to do something with the fueling? What do you all suggest? Just throw in a 5bar and???

I've been doing alot of searching but cannot get the exact answer I'm looking for. Thanks in advance!

+ program to support the new mods. You might be in need of a new clutch at that time as well - depending on existing condition of your present setup.

18g's will get you what you want with no sacrifices. Just need injectors (better than a 5bar), clutch and a tune. This will get you very close to 600 wheel. My times below are on 18g's, injectors, exhaust and a Meth kit all tuned by EPL.

what everyone else said: 18g, clutch, tune, *definitely injectors* as you will max a 5 bar. Handful of dead engines out there from 5 bars with 18gs. Talk to your tuner about the boost controller vs DME controlled. Nice to haves would be good intercoolers and inlet pipes. Also a durametric to be sure everything is happy.

Awesome! Thanks for the very helpful info guys.

Two more quick questions. If I do injectors do I need the 5 bar as well? Also what size injectors do I go with for the 18g's?

No you won't need the 5 bar with injectors at your target power level. If you're making enough power to need a 5 bar with upgraded injectors, you are past the ability of the stock fuel pump. Even with the 3.8 bar (stock) regulator and injectors, you will max the fuel pump before you max the injectors.

Talk to your tuner about injector sizes, some common ones for that power level are 58lb/hr and 72 lb/hr (assuming you want to run gasoline and not E85).

HI,NO question, the next step...Bang for the buck>>>K24/18g up grade and minimal the 5bar but should go with the injectors....And a tune to match that.Only bad part,GIAC does not make a tune for K24/18g's,so you have to get a new tune from another vendor and he will tell you what injecter size to run for his tune,,,But GIAC should hold a slight credit for you for the future since you did buy one from them originally.......Good Luck....

Thanks again guys! Really appreciate the info... Looks like I'll get in touch with Protomotive and 911tuning to see what they can do for me.
