question on front bumper

I have an 04 TT with considerable rock chips on the front bumper, and I am looking to replace and or upgrade. Obviously, there are hundreds of choices. I really don't want to spend 4K for a techart. Ebay has many options in the 1-2k range. Does anyone have any knowledge of quality, fit and finish, so forth? Thank you.

You can either repaint your stock bumper or get an aftermarket. The factory GT2 bumper is pretty pricey to do it right.

While it might seem to be a hundred choices, there are actually only a few "quality" choices. The best way to go if you want a TechArt bumper is to contact Edwin @ Precision Porsche. They make great TechArt replicas (front / rear / side skirts) that many on the board have. There are also a few that make the replica GT2 bumper; Precision Porsche, Mashaw and Getty designs. I'm not sure Misha makes a front bumper.

Shape of Precision Porsche GT2 bumpers are excellent, visually you won't tell the difference from oem unless you know it's glassfiber and go knock on it.

Gdoc, like Page said, there are lots of vendors out there that sell different bumpers for our turbos...the main choices being the TA and GT2. A lot of these sellers act as brokers and sell bumpers that are made from overseas. Once they import it and sell it to you, it's usually hard to get them to rectify issues should they arise.

Shameless plug: We make our parts in our shop and stand by our products. If you ask around 6speed, we have quite a lot of members with our kits (I can spit out 10 names right now if you need ) If you do your research, I hope you'll find out you can't go wrong with us

Please let me know if there's anything you need or have any questions/concerns

Edwin

kk,
I bought the car with considerable rock chips already on the bumper. The clear bra would probably have saved the paint.
