Hawk ceramic pads with oem rotors bad idea???

I'm tired of the brake dust from the oem pads. I'm thinking of switching over to hawk ceramics, but don't want to warp the stock rotors with the ceramic pads. Anyone using hawks on stock rotors? My car is street driven only. Thanks, Dave

I used Hawks on my previous vehicles with stock rotors without problems. I have yet to replace the pads on my 996TT. It wont be happening anytime soon though. Hopefully someone will chime in that has done it.

Typically rotors don't warp. Usually it is unevem material build up. Hawk ceramic pads should be fine.

I had some Hawk pads on my street car and hated them, groaned like hell. They weren't ceramics though.

I think as long as you don't get too aggressive of a track/street or track pad (ceramic is great for the street) from them you will like them. The hp plus is great too but very dusty and possible noise. The ceramic is made for normanl use with less dust and prettyy good performance.

+1 on bedding in any pads...you can look it up
