Evolution Motorsports Breaks 60-130 Record
0 shifting certainly has it's advantages but does that define the perfect street car too? Let's say you entered 60 with higher Gs in 3rd and the turbo was tweak for even a greater output in 4th, that could result in a faster 60-130 with also perfect street driveability--even "more" perfect, perhaps? I'm just talking here and by no means am I attempting to detract from the very impressive sub 4s achievement.

I never heard of tweaking a turbo for gears
,maybe the boost controller but not on this car & rest assured KPG's car will pull just as hard in third
. It may be faster with 3-4 shift, KPG will find out.

No, I didn't mean for gears but for volumetric efficiency. It was just a hypothetical. Hard to improve on a great number but it's always fun trying. Nice work!

Take a look at this dyno sheet from one of the runs, and it wasnt the best run either, and take note of the AVG tq and hp across the run. From roughly 2200 rpm to 7000 it averaged 574 AWTQ to the ground. To put that in perspective, at every single point on the RPM band from start to finish there was an avg of 574AWTQ and 510AWHP available to the ground. That is why the car can run a 4th gear only 60-130 because it has tq and hp available in significant amounts everywhere along the powerband.... power under the curve!
Kevin i'm only going to make this offer once: I will trade you my car, two large Chipotle Burritos, and a case of Bud Heavy for your car. I know you'd probably do it for the beer alone but it's Friday and I'm feeling good.
id love to see what this would make on a Dynojet
1000+
is it a built bottom end?

You know Ben, all these comments about my weight and you still offer leaded beer. If it was Bud lite I would consider, but since I am thoroughly offended at the moment I must decline you offer...
As for the dyno jet, maybe, but it wouldnt change how it runs...
I would argue two cars with similar builds, the one that is faster in a 4th gear only pull is a more streetable car. The reason being the one that can produce more tq down low and across the powerband is a more all around vehicle as opposed to a " peaky" tune. Everything I have ever wanted in a car is power under the curve, not power under the peak. I think this car is the Porsche equivalent of having your cake and eating too.

Sounds like you run some type of speed shop, do you have a get together for the WDC. I usually stay away from the Dream Cruise as bumper to bumper traffic as far as the eye can see gets a bit old, not enough space to stretch the legs...
Edit... I havent been on the board much recently but I just noticed your avatar. You have a TT Lambo as well? Seems like everyone has them now, the new Mustang! How did yours run? any 60-130 times or 1/4 mile yet? Congrats, they are works of art!
