quick question....about a tt engine

Hey guys what is a reasonable price to buy a 2001 2002 TT engine for with around 60k-80k on it? Just an engine, no transmission.

Im working on putting a build together that i cant wait to share but for now i its a secrete

From my point of view, the old cases are not as strong. So for me not so much.. Is it a whole motor as in intake to exhaust tips? Power steering pump, a/c compressor?

Awhile back brand new ones were available for $18,000 from Suncoast so that might give you something to go on.

TIM94NYC Yes the entire motor with an intake, exhaust and all accessories. New for 18k??? for a TT? Really? I keep seeing them on ebay for 19k-20k. Was wondering if they actually sell for that price.

I believe a brand new one is about $57k and $10k more for X50.

The price may reflect condition. I saw one on ebay that had been in a fire for under $2k.

It's not a high volume thing, the trade of whole 996tt engines.

I would go with what landjet said, and with the prices you see on eBay.
Try to negotiate and make a purchase if the price is right for you... There isn't a blue book value for this.
