2011 software

I'm sure this is answered somewhere but I was having trouble finding a condensed thread. There are bits and pieces everywhere and some of the info was a few years old. I thought maybe there might be some updated versions of certain software. In 2011, do you guys have somewhat of a unanimous preferred software for a 996tt x50? The most substantial power gains are obviously ideal but I'm looking for smoothness and factory feel as well. Thanks in advance.

There's no real consensus, as I think it's more about finding a tuner who you are comfortable with, who is capable of getting you on the path you want. I'm not sure where in New York you are, but if it's in the eastern part of the state, you'd be crazy not to give Tony @ EPL a call, as he is local. Having said that, if all you are doing is a basic flash, virtually all of the respected tuners can send you a cable which will let you download and install your software on your own. Tony was remotely working with two guys while he was letting my car cool down in between dyno runs.
