SL 65 Kleemen vs. Gt800 EVO 996 TT
SL 65 Kleemen vs. Gt800 EVO 996 TT
Might buy the Evolution motorsports GT 800 kit for my 996 TT! does anyone have this kit!! by the way, my mistake, my neighbor has the Kleemen twin turbo SL "65"!! will the stock TT Hang with it?? will the Gt 800 smoke it?? please give me feed back ASAP
from the tested numbners a stock TT should be close from a stop (lots of weight in the SL and lots of torque to to control) but the SL should quickly start to pull away.
GT 800 should smoke the SL65 (we've seen video of a 750kit (give or take) out accdelerate the CGT)

the kleeman sl should be trapping close to 130 in the 1/4...so I would guess you would need something on the lines of the evo 640 package to be ahead of it. IMO that or the 700/750 is the best way to go if you want to spend some insane amount of money on a car.
Honestly I would get a Viper and TT it and make over 1000 HP and smoke em all...keep the TT for a sweet daily driver, maybe do a stage 2-3 upgrade. JMO of course.

Have you driven a current Viper? Not a refined car compared to the TT or SL by any means. Sure, it's fast, but would you want to drive it as often or as long as a TT or SL? Very different car to live with. It'd be interesting to hear Shank's impressions, since he's lived with 'em all.

Thats why I said to keep the TT with a small power upgrade and daily drive it and get a TT viper for fun. IMO I wouldn't even get the newest gen viper. I'd get a 99-02 and TT that.

I've been in a stock S65 and not the SL65. That thing is very fast but it's, also, very traction-limited. A stock tt might get the jump but that all-mighty engine will really come into it's own on higher speeds. The EVO800 package is another thing alltogther. I'm sure that very few cars can hang with that.
