MAF "996.606.124.0" vs "996.606.124.00"

Any difference between these 2 part nos? I borrowed a MAF sensor to check my high idle and when I pulled the one out of my car i noticed it had one less "0" in the part number.

Any idea why??

Did a search without the last 0 on Autoatlanta and Pelican and always end up with the 996.606.124.00. And also did a search using PET 7.2 (Porsche parts cat.) and there is no other last digit than a 0 for all Porsche models....

Yeah it seems totally weird. But just put in the "borrowed" sensor and the car ran awesome......just with the same high idle after it warms up. No codes or anything else.

Do you figure it's a vacuum leak?? Nothing else makes sense.....

Is it a coincidence or a bad luck ??? Your problem started after the spoiler cylinder spilled. If you used the proper cleaning agent for the MAF (especially for MAF cleaning does not leave any residue) than may be a vacuum leak somewhere seems the problem....

Same problem here: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...high-idle.html

Yeah, used high quality electronic/MAF cleaner so more than likely the problem is somewhere else.

However, if I run the A/C it idles just fine. I've been running the A/C for about 7 months straight now, so I wonder if the car just forgot how to run without it on

did you lower the motor? disconnect anything? I had a client with the same AC situation... turned out to be a massive leak near the injectors on the black rubber connectors... and had nothing to do with the maf

No. Nothing was touched. I drove it one day in 106 degree weather and it had no issue, then drove it again 3 days later in 59 degree weather and that's when it started.

My laptop cr@pped out on me so haven't run durametrics on it yet, but again it's not throwing any codes.
