Yes I own both and from the different tuners I have seen there is no way he is 370 wheel hp with those mods. Maybe flywheel hp in which case it would be close
to about 60 mph because the STi weighs alot less. But above 60 you will walk him. Seems like you do alot of benchracing on here why don't you just race him for real.

My son has a STI. We don't street race so I can't comment on 0-60 or 0-100 but I can tell you that on the track, I can very easily walk away from him on the straights. (His STI is stock; my TT is chipped with 417 HP at the wheels.) In the twisties, I have only a slight edge.

hmm

All the sti needs is a 20G turbo.. 1200$ injectors and a fuel pump
plus Ecutke and a 3" Tbe..and he wqil have 350-370 whp no problem.. and than the Turbis is in crap... it will own you from a stop or roll.. all these mods together are kless than 4500$ including tuning...
I saw a 360 whp whip a 416 rwhp e46 m3 supercharged...and that m3 raced a stock 996 turbo and barly pulled on him..
don't under estimate the Sti becuase it's a 4 banger.. 5 K and it will kill almost anything..

A good friend of mine owns an STi and 6088TTS is totally right about the 230whp they put down. There is no way those simple mods you listed added 150whp to the car. 270whp sounds a lot more realistic... I have also driven the car and agree that it's quick in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear... But after that the cars acceleration decreases dramatically. You will have no problem what so ever, OWNING him with your TT

Typical modded STi's with a Cobb Accessport or similar, downpipe and other minor mods are <300whp. Anything more is possible, but frought with peril, just need to read the STi boards to see why.

My (stock) STi feels like the ebrake is on at WOT compared to the 996 TT...that's why I'm shopping for one right now.

I had an '04 STI. The car is very mod unfriendly. Ecutke is crap. My Ecutke was tuned a dozen times over by Easy Street and they still couldn't get it right. At the end, they took it back. I had it on my car and it made less hp and the car was boost creeping all day long. The TBE is also crap and again my Fireball Ti was loud and that's about it. The 20G turbo is fine but you can't find a program that will make it work properly.

It all changes on the track or the autocross. You can almost throw a big motor on a roller skate with a low differential and be the stoplight king.

TT's are not built for the stop light to stop light run, they have longer legs and are made to turn corners.

Not to take anything away from the Sube or Mitsi crowd at all.

996 turbo

That rerallu sux for you and I am sorry you know ****ty tuners..LOL
You obviously know NOTHING about sti's or turbod cars. I have never heard anyone say that the sti is mod unfreindly..lol
a TBE (3" exhaust and 3" downpipe) will add 20-30 whp right there.. ecutek adds another 30 whp.. easy! A good tuner.. will custome tune that and hit 300 whp easily.. btw- most sti's dyno stock 235-240 whp. these mods Tbe and ecutek/tune and bringing the boost from 14.5 psi to 19psi will hit 300whp easily..and those mods will rape a e46 M3 from a roll all day. I have seen it to many times..now that only cost 1500-1800 $ at the most including tuning.. LOL thow a 20 G turbo 1200$ plus injectors and a fuel pump totals $700.. you will got 375 whp..
=420 crank = eats 996 turbo

ok man i don't know what you are talking about but here in Toronto Canada we have one of the best Subie tuners in NA and the name is Ultimate Racing... yes maybe the STi is going to have maybe 400whp and yes maybe it will walk away from a TT but lets get serious here i can drive my TTS anywhere in the country and get at least 400km/tank of gas and what do you get out of a 400whp STi? nothing but trouble... and trust me on this because know Johnson personally who is the President of Ultimate Racing and even when he test drove my Turbo he said these are totally different cars and if there is a custom tuneable ECU available on the market for the Euro cars he would drop Jap cars right away... beside that point i with a chipped TTS can walk no wait more like fly away from any M3s super charged or not... even when i raced my friend's M3 i pulled about 40 car length from him with in less than a highway exit... and i don't know which street legal STi or anyother Jap car can do that... sorry STis drool...

ahhh

close minded people.. obvisouly the 996 TT is superior to the sti but like i said in the last 3 posts.. for under $4k it will have more Hp than a 996 tt.
Who cares how many miles you get for a tank of gas.. when u have 400 whp on a sti you just want to go fast...
laters

btw.. ultimate racing is a joke.. the yare diffinatly not the #1 suby tuners in Toronto ..
Man you have to be carefull when you make comments like that becuase you never know who know what and were.
Neetronics and 4 start motor sports are the 2 best tuners for Sti's
Just to let you know those shops build the subaru rally teams cars..lol

look into it dumb ***
