996 TT vs WRX Sti

Throw all the money you want at the Scoobi and I'll destroy it. I own a true street beast, but I'm saving my pennies every day since I drove an 01 996tt. Last Wednesday when leaving the local car show I raced a blue one and a silver one. The kids in the blue one had a video camera. Even with the Viper declaring a jihad on it's rear tires I still caught and passed the blue one in first gear from a stand still. The blue one had BPU and the silver one had larger turbo, bov, etc. A few miles down the road at the next stop light the passenger with the camera was red in the face with laughter and the driver looked pissed. The passenger says, "Dude, you filled our car with tire smoke."
I say put the same 5K of mods into the 996 and the beating will be even more severe than Tysons bout.

I always find threads like this amusing - there is always going to be a car of any make out there that will beat any other model. There are old Eagle Talons that will wipe the floor with a 996tt in the straight line - that doesn't mean anyone would rather own one, or that it's a better car all around.

This topic starter actually asked if a modded sti can take a 996 TT .. didnt say anything about the 996 being modded.. also note that the sti wasn't tuned and only had 360 whp..lol and the m3 was s/c with 416 rwhp.. I read the whole thread on www.clubwrx.net that video...
Both the 996tt and Sti and evo are awd.. the 996 tt bone stock dynos 340-350 awhp right? a stock sti /evo dynos 240-250 awhp..
I said that with $5k.. (20 G turbo, ecutek . 3"Tbe . fuel injectors and a fuel pump ) The sti will have more than 350 whp an pusing well over 19 psi of boost.. add headers and a few more supporting mods and it will have over 400 awhp with 93-94 octane..
so Porsche owners get off your high horses.. yes a suby will never be a porshe.. but POINT here is don;t **** aorund with sti's and evos' cuz like most memebers that know about cars said.. dump abit of $$ and they are Beasts..

Ok if you want to put it that way and using the F word then i don't want to keep my calm sense anymore... you are a guy that DOES NOT drive a Porsche let alone a TT or GT2 so you don't know what you are talking about... unless you really drive a Porsche and don't know any thing about cars... let me tell you something if you want to go technical a TT block can with hold over 1200 HP subies? more like 400-500 with stock block... and no matter how you mod a Jap car is always going to be that stupid piece of junk that only knows how to shoot like a bullet for 1-2-3rd gear and it can only last what 3 month if you are lucky with out the CEL coming on? and maybe that stupid STi wing won't fly off after you go more than 150mph let alone a TTs top speed of at least 190mph anyways all i want to say is that come on this is such a nice and friendly Form why do you kid have to ruin it for everyone!? espcially using unappropriate language around here... anyways sorry to all Subie drivers... too bad your cars can't even buy a set of my Brake Disks...

I hate getting in pointless debates but I'll say this...
As an Sti owner, if I wanted a faster car I would have gotten a civic or camaro or what have you. Hopefully someone will make sense of that.
