I saw a 360 whp whip a 416 rwhp e46 m3 supercharged...and that m3 raced a stock 996 turbo and barly pulled on him..
don't under estimate the Sti becuase it's a 4 banger.. 5 K and it will kill almost anything..
Umm do you know what your talking about? You want to see a video of a SC M3 vs. a 400WHP STI? There is no competition what so ever.

You saw a 360whp whip a 416 rwhp M3??? The video is there to prove it. You just got internet owned.

Heres the video, watch it and cry.

It looks like the driver in the STi pressed the wrong pedal.

I am a long time Porsche fan. I would never trade in my TT for a Subi or an Evo.......But just the fact that we are comparing a $30K car to a $120K car should be great win for the Subi. More power to the Japanese for making affordable sports cars!

FWIW we recently dynoed a STI that was doing 390 to all four wheels. That is pretty damn stout. The car is still 3300Lbs!

Hmm...which would I rather have? A car that sounds like a lawnmower, or a German bulletproof appliance steeped in tradition, heritage and racing victories. (Yes, I'm aware Subies are rally cars, but you can't compare Tonka trucks to Cup Cars)

Race the guy already and do the Porsche community proud.

Just remember: 5500 rpm launch, side step the clutch, wave bye bye.

And some of you Subaru guys may want to consider some revised grammar and punctuation in your posts.

a TBE (3" exhaust and 3" downpipe) will add 20-30 whp right there.. ecutek adds another 30 whp.. easy! A good tuner.. will custome tune that and hit 300 whp easily.. btw- most sti's dyno stock 235-240 whp. these mods Tbe and ecutek/tune and bringing the boost from 14.5 psi to 19psi will hit 300whp easily..and those mods will rape a e46 M3 from a roll all day. I have seen it to many times..now that only cost 1500-1800 $ at the most including tuning.. LOL thow a 20 G turbo 1200$ plus injectors and a fuel pump totals $700.. you will got 375 whp..
=420 crank = eats 996 turbo
Troll of the month....

if a supposed 400whp STI can't hang with a 360whp SC M3, how can it expect to run with the 996Turbo?

Just because it has a high PEAK hp at the dyno, doesn't automatically mean it will be faster.

That STI had 400awhp and the M3 had 416rwhp. The M3 is not spraying anything.

Ok well I want to put in my 2 cents on this subject. I will have to say that there are a couple of STI Scooby’s out there that will beat any of the TT ’s one this site. There is a company by the name Forced Air Technologies in PHX AZ that I would have to say has the most extreme STI in the world. The list of mods is endless on this car but here are the high points. The car is supercharged and turbo charged!! He used the supercharger out of a C32 AMG that builds 15 psi from idle and then on top of that he is pushing a garret turbo that is putting down 21 psi. The super charger builds boost from idle to about 2900 rpm and then the cluch on the supercharger in over taken buy the turbo that is now at full boost. No internal work to the motor yet. Last time he put his car on the 4wd dyno he put down 510 hp to the ground and I am not sure of the torque. He ran a 10.24 at the track on street tires. The Sti is a beast if you dump some money in to them. He will be putting his system on the market in the next year.

ok thanx alot for your input but that is a well done up STi probably the only one in the world!! right? if you put that STi again any stock or slightly moded turbo yes it is going to bet them but think of the 9ff 911 then that would be a more reasonable comparison right? but on this topic we are talking about a 90% done up STi vs. Slightly moded TTs
which in my honest opinion STi does not have a slight chance of beating a TT with 600hp... just my .02
oh ya sorry forgot to tell you that no those STis will not beat many TTs on this board! REALLY!
