Just an idea copied from an Audi SRS forum.

Lets hear whats tried it on with you recently!

I can start with my list so far in my 5 months with the 996tt

1. Audi V10 RS6 with SKN flash and Milltek exhaust (approx 700+ hp) -> tried 4 times, piece of cake for a 996tt, always a few car lengths ahead up to around 260 kmh.

2. BMW M5 V8 with flash and exhaust - no problem at all.

3. Lancer Evo VI with tuned evo IX engine (400+ hp) - pretty equal up to around 160 kmh, then 996tt blows it away.

4. Skyline R33 with a huge turbo and supposedly around 550 hp - no problem at all.

5. Corvette C5 with exhaust, no problem at all.

6. Harley Davidson V-Rod - pretty much equal up to around 160-170 kmh, then 996tt flies away.

BUT!! To my great surprise, a tuned GT500 Mustang (630 hp) turned out to be faster and beat me pretty easily and we tried 4 or 5 times.

I was also given hard time and lost to my friend's 996tt X50 with flash and exhaust dynoed at 560 hp at the crank.

All tests were done at private, closed road, all rolling start from 2nd gear.

that said^, that was a pretty good one.

 

Well all of the above took place on derestricted german autobahns. Some also in mexico but shipping my car back and forth between continents got a bit annoying.

 

What are we, 13 years old? Porsches are fast - we get it. All this chest thumping is getting old.

 

Op is just havin fun that's all i do the same thing once in a while of course in a safe manner but my P is slow for now.

 

Chest thumping never gets old, thats why billions upon billions are spent on fast cars and racing every year. At the end of the day its about chest thumping regardless of the level or type.

I can also attest to the speed of a Tuned GT500.

 

2002 Porsche Turbo ... Embarrassed on how much time and money I have in it LOL!!! It's fast when it runs!

I never brag about how fast my Porsche is than your car comment 'coz any car can be made faster including a honda civic
