WARNING About Rottec Seats!!
This is just a warning to all 6speed members thinking of purchasing from Ray or Rottec. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased a set of seats 10/06 on 10/20 I received 2 poorly packaged, Very poor quality damaged seats missing hardware. I snap a few pics and contact Ray at Rottec. 3 days later I receive a email requesting pics. I gladly send pics of damaged seats, and the insides of this little flimsy box where the seats were poorly packed. Wait another 5 days for Ray to respond. Rays response was "I can send you new seat covers and you can get them repaired or I will pick them up and repair them" I think to myself..Wait a minute, didn't I just purchase new seats, not "repaired" seat? So I email Ray back, explain that I did in fact order NEW seats, not REPAIRED new seats and that's what I would like. He argued with me back and forth over the course of nearly 2 months now and this still isn't resolved!
Then Ray in his almighty wisdom contacted the moderators for help resolving this issue. Shortly there after I recieve a call from Bob, one of the moderators asking if he could help. I explain the situation and he agrees with me. If I paid for "new" seats I should receive "new" seats... Not "repaired" new seats. He contacts Ray and tells him exactly that. He gives Ray 3 days to respond and he doesn't. I ask Bob if it was ok if I share my experience with the crew on 6speed in a effort to help others from getting burned from this guy and he agrees.
SO JUST A WARNING GUYS, ROTTEC DOES NOT STAND BEHIND ANYTHING THEY SELL NOR ARE THESE QUALITY PARTS! I AM NOT EVEN SURE I WOULD WANT TO BE IN THESE SEAT IN THE EVENT OF A ACCIDENT! I HIGHLY DOUBT THESE SEATS HAVE BEEN CRASH TESTED IN ANY WAY. THESE ARE CLEARLY VERY POOR QUALITY CHINA PARTS! KEEP THIS IN MIND AS YOUR GUYS ARE RACING AROUND THE TRACK.
Sadly 2 months later I had to file a claim with my credit card company for a charge back!

Save your money for some quality seats Todd.. He sells China made junk! Like I said earlier... I would not feel safe in these seat in a event of a crash. I am almost certain they have had NO crash testing!
I had a similar experience. I think I was one of the first people if not the first person whom received Rotect seats. I order my seats black with suede inserts and arctic silver stitching. I didn't receive arctic silver sticking, and the seats were not 'leather' they were 'pleather' aka fake leather. My seats also arrived damaged and after weeks of hassling and contacting a mod, well I got some money back. I would have rather had the seats I ordered. Live and learn.

It's pretty sad that a thread has to be posted in order to resolve such an issue. 2 months and nothing yet!! I would be furious! The loss of business from this thread should wake them up. Keep this at the top to let others know.
Kinda expected? If you compared Ray's price to OEM price, they are a lot cheaper, you get what you paid for. But I agree, if you paid for new you should get new and not repaired seats. I know Ray is extremely busy these days getting the LED DRL sent out to customers but there should be no excuses.
