Anybody???????
I like some of the options, seats, X50.... From pics looks like the brakes will need some love soon... Love the color yet would prefer something more grey or white just for class and sleeper look. This thing just screams "Hey Coppers, I am over here" but the yellow does fit in with my other vehicles...
Am not sure what something like this should be worth.

No idea on pricing over your side of the world
But, that could be a very nice looking car with just one or two touches
Seems very clean from the pictures
I'd love a yellow Turbo

About 63 g is there asking price
Hmmm. I think that year car with the miles and options would be at least worth around $50k and add the mods done (probably around $15k at least) that totals around $65k, but mods usually only get around 50% of their value unless someone is really very interested in them. So I would say around mid to upper $50's would be a more than fair price, IMO...
I personally like yellow and like all the little touches to that car. It will be a turn-key hauling a$$ car from the start as well! Just be sure to do a full independent PPI and call AMS as well to see what they know about it!
Keep us posted as to what you do! Have fun!

Besides picking your own place for the PPI (don't rely on them to suggest a location), go there in person and check out the car once you've determined you want to go further.
You should also check out Chicago Motorcars' reputation - do a search her on 6spd and you will find some interesting opinions.

OH I started a thread on this car and ruffled AMS feathers a bit with my initial contact with the car and them. We since talked and I found out what I wanted on the car minus a good PPI. The car just migth go back to them for some further tuning if I do buy it.
I know very well of Chicago motor cars tarnished history. In the end I am going on what some other persons said. I will do business with them because of the car not the shop.
I will likely not go look in person but I will have a PPI mechanic give me a good walk through over the phone; and maybe I will ask a person on here to have a peek for me.
Yup that is the one...
PPis do not mean anything anymore... I have a 6speed members car in my hands who recently bought a car that had a PPi done... had they driven the car they would know that it overboosts to 1.4 bar ( when it should be 1 bar max), etc... thing looks like it was taken apart and back 13 times... tail lamps crack at the screw holes, some goofy injector washers, rigged water cooling reverted back to stock because it appeared to have some tial turbos, etc... I can go on and on...
Do a leak down test, compression test, and a boost leak test, spend even $1000 on it... it may be worth the investment.. I would if I were you... on any boosted/modded car.
good luck

A leak down test and compression test is a given in my world. Cheap insurance on any modded car like you say. I have been debating on letting AMS do the look over seeing how they know the car, and seeing how they are board supporters would they want bad press from a 1/2 *** job. I think that would be un likely.
Pretty cool color combo, love the Speed Yellow on the 996tt. However, if it were me, I think I'd look for a car that is low mileage and stock; start with a clean canvas. I've never been a fan of buying something modded like that because you have no idea what that car has been through. Looks pretty on the outside though!
Oh and price... Mid to high 50's? Anything over that, you're better off buying a clean stock one and doing those mods yourself.
