When do you start needing a hitachi or blow through?

Say a3076 on pump gas.... Would that need it?

He is making alot of power on the stock MAF, in the stock location.

 

Interested as well. When is the stock maf no longer able to keep up??

Has it been proven that the Hitachi does in fact have more resolution?

 

Are they all tougher than ours?

 

Stock MAF is likely to blow above 525-550 whp. However, some stock MAFs last longer at that power for some reason...

 

I have a gt700 kit from evo. I only switched because Todd told me to but my car ran great with the stock mass air. There is a cone you can install inside so it will not blow.

 

Where can you get this cone? Got any pics?

 

I do not have any pictures of it but you can get it from EVO. They are the ones that offered it to me because when I installed my kit the Hitachi MAF was still in R & D. Personally I think my car ran better with the stock MAF.

 

isn't that "blown maf" only a software / diag problem??
