4 point harness with tequipment cage

Ok I have decided to get 4 point harness for the trackdays. I have a tequipment cage and stock seats. The upper bar on the cage is almost at the roof so Im guessing its too high to attach the shoulder straps there?? What to do?

I am guessing you have the Panamericana Tequipment roll bar without the cross bar. If that is the case then you can not use a 4 point harness because the shoulder straps have to be attached to the bar at shoulder level. I am also pretty sure that you can not attach a harness to the stock seats as they don't have a sub bar or a provision to attache a harness to the sides. Either get proper seats like the GT3 Euro seat with a proper roll bar w/cross brace or stick with your stock 3points.

Agree. Roll bar, harness and seats need to work as a system to be effective. Mixing and matching will cause serious injury in a crash.

Never let any one ride in the back if you have a roll bar.

IMO, Don't use a 4 point harness. Buy a seat and use a 5 point. If you can't, Stay with your 3 point...Run your electric seat back, pull the belt tight and snap it so it locks, Then drive the seat forward to squeeze you tight in the seat.
