Destroyed a Maserati 3200

I ran into a Maserati 3200 today. I blew his &^!@%#^@ doors off soo badly. We come to a light, he is in front of me. Light turns green, he takes off, i go easy in first, short shift to 2 nd, he's a good 4-5 cars out on me, by the top of 2 nd i had reeled him, shift to 3rd, and blow past him like he had thrown it in reverse. At the next light, he asks if id done anything to it, i reply, no, that would void the warranty!

In the Lotus or Diablo ? Maserati's are slow, nice cruisers, but hardly a performance oriented sports car.

I seen a nice 2002 Lotus esprit today, yellow with HRE's and Black/yellow interior. Owner seems to live close by, I see him driving around sometimes. Looks pretty good now that I got a better glance at it, you see less esprits then F-cars around here.

a maserati 3200?? that car was never imported to the u.s. and was a 6 cylinder twin turbo(??)...and yes, they are slow, but not sure if that is really what you raced. if it were a gran sport, it would have been much better race, as that car is a 4.2 litre v8 w/ 400 h.p. and is pretty quick for a stock, naturally aspirated engine.........

That makes it the 4200 Spyder with a naturally aspirated, 390hp engine. They are fast, but not a match for your Esprit.

Without nitrous, the Lambo would still take it, but the Lotus should be pretty close. Where the Lambo really has the edge, is the instant you floor it, where it immediately takes off, while the Lotus builds boost.

The Lotus will still be quicker though, as im waiting to recieve the new wastegates tommorow. Then we will see again.
