i called bell intercoolers and the cores are 332$ each. the material for the end tanks cant be more than 100$ and the diagrams are very good. i was lucky and found a member who had the op end tanks already fabbed and just bought his. all i need is the cores and some tubing for the inlet and outlet and mock it up. i have a shop that will tig it for free for me
less than 1000$ for a set of 4.5" i/c and i get to explore the car more. win win for me

Very nice, keep us updated. Going to be a bit before I do the intercooler swap so might go that route.

seconding the notion that discarding the x50 intercoolers for others if you already have them is foolhardy. it's not as if they weren't good enough for the 996 gt2. sheesh.

a tune, exhaust, i/c's, dv's and 5bar fpr = happy.

for awhile. ha.

Fair enough.

Though if I didn't alreday have K24s I'd either Hybridize my K16s or go big with 24/18g, or a Tial option based on budget. The Tial turbos are amazing

Do your homework and don't "bargain" shop. I broke my own rules and made
this mistake with my car. Ultimately I got what I was after but I spent 10k
more than I needed to. I'm Irish and it seems we have to learn everything the
hard way.
