Sooo... this means my radiator is leaking?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390179638982...84.m1438.l2649 These are OEM for a great price. What did you pay for your replacements?

I paid the same $360.99 for the driver's side rad, shipping included. On close inspection during install, one of the standoffs to hold the a/c core was snapped off, (not the source of the leaks). It's a Behr unit, but not AKG as they state in the auction description, with what appeared to be actual Porsche part number stickers applied. Didn't make any difference as it leaks pretty badly at both crimps. Unfortunately PayPal only allows a dispute to opened within 45 days and I'm now at 80 days. I guess I should have installed it sooner. I did email them and asked to return for a credit. Their site states 1 year, plus manufacturer warranty, so we'll see. They are a pretty big Ebay retailer so maybe they'll step up and issue a credit or replacement.

Definitely unfortunate, but for every negative review of a Non-OEM part, I am sure there are a handful of satisfied customers. I don't think as a blanket statement, non-OEM is bound to be defective.
I purchased AKG parts through FCPEuro and had no issues at all with mine.
Good luck with the return..

That's what I thought. And the Ebay item "claimed" to be AKG, but when received it had Behr stickers and part number /brand molded into the tanks.

i just went thru something similar. an ebay item described as oem and it wasn't, then took me 2 weeks to return/credit etc. so wrong item + ebay = pita. pretty sure with the rad you'l be fine with either one, as long as it's the correct side.

Success!
Well props to RogueM3 for the kind FCPEuro pointer, the new radiator arrived next day air. Went on in 30 mins, (getting pretty good at replacing radiators now) and presto, NO LEAKS. Replaced both hoses BTW, duh they're cheap and you're already in there. Anyway, thanks again for FCPEuro, nice folks and great prices on Genuine Porsche parts. I can definitely see how these start leaking after a while. They take a lot of abuse via rocks, leaves, ciggy butts, gravel etc thrown in there. The duct for the fan just traps everything in a giant wad in the lower rear corner where it can corrode the core. If you've never taken the time and you're getting up there in miles, make it a Saturday maintenance project and take off the front bumper cover, then remove the two ducts and clean those radiators out! It's not a matter of if they're gonna start leaking, just a matter of when.

+1 on the importance of cleaning out that debris. it's strange to have quit smoking years ago, only to find old butts along with the aforementioned pebbles/twigs n bugs etc. a nasty bit of business up in there lol
