For xmas the wife got me a carbon fiber wing from there online. The box it came in was in perfect condition and the wing was packaged well. Anyway, the back side of the wings seam is all broken open and a large chunk taken out as well. Thus makes me think the wing was damaged before it was packaged. All we want is to send it back for a new one. The online return policy seems a bit rough. Kinda like...its you get it and its broken, your screwed. Was just hoping there was a voice here from them

 

 

seems like a bad product imo. doesn't look like a stress crack at all i.e shipping damage. i hope wifey paid using a credit card.

 

Yup, she did. Think the credit card company will reverse the transaction if they don't play nice?

 

that's your option, if they don't play nice. document everything u can, including taking detail pics of the packaging. they might blame to the shipping guys but that's not ur business. sorry u have to go through this.

btw, what's their warranty policy on this piece? looking at ur pictures my concern is how it would hold up over time. u can kinda see the seam of the top & bottom bold doesn't look very nice (or maybe ur flash is doing the trick). split alert down the road.

 

Man, that sucks. The excitement that comes from receiving a cool car part is obviously terrific (and an awesome gift of course), but then it's immediately tempered by the fact that you received a damaged part. I hope they step up to the plate and take care of you. Keep us posted, and best wishes.

 

Will do guys. Thank you. The return policy for a damaged part pretty much says its the shipper because they know they sent a good product. If this was a mustang, fine, but this is going on a 130k car. I hope they make this right. We took good pics of the package and all. We sent an email of the damage and a summary. I will call tomorrow and see what they say

Same here. They seem like stand up guys. They were out of stock on an item I wanted, and gave me a more expensive alternate for same price and free ship. Give them a chance to make it right. If not, most cc companies will make it right for you!

As a side note, the knockoff CF wings are notorious for seam issues and delamination. My shop has a stack of customers wings as a tribute.

 

Where are Some better quality ones sold at?

 

We used to import this same style wing as an add on item to our exhausts and discontinued it as 8 out of 10 had serious defects. We would open up the boxes for inspection when they arrived and found the problem prior to shipping. In our opinion, the defect rate was way too unreasonable to continue to offer the product. There were some perfect ones, but it took some digging to find one...

 

Just spoke with Charles. He already saw our email and already had a new wing being sent out. He could of not been more professional. I was very impressed. We do not even have too pay for shipping for the damaged one. Great vendor!
