Making the 996 TT REV more freely ?
Hmmm...we never added any hard parts to my car..it was all fixed with tuning. My car had, what I thought, was a very lazy pedal and felt very unresponsive...night and day difference after...Maybe just ask your tuner if he can look at it?
Its in the tune to get the pedal to feel better. Its a fine line as it can make the car very jerky in 1st gear. parking lot driving.
I dont think it will help.. You are making around 278 wheel hp at 3250 rpm on your dyno sheet. You most likely are under that rpm driving around and thats why the car feels slow to rev.
Tim, lets see, the other mod I have is strengthened Conrods after my $57,000 engine Sportec insurance rebuild, my problem is that driving around I am always at circa 3,250 rpm & thats what I need to get away from, this will help it all move more quickly
please let us know how the sprint product works!
i personally think the only thing that will help a 996TT shift quicker is the getting the TCU tuned. Problem is no one does it. Evo has a TCU but it didn't work for me. I think it didn't work because I had a 2001 TCU. Now I have the newest (2004) 996TT TCU (actually I have two lol). The newer TCU did help a bit, but it still feels sluggish, even with the few thousand bucks in mods I have
(fully built trans with upgraded valve body and torque converter set to 3300 RPM, built engine with 3.8L pistons, pauter rods, mafless setup with fender intakes, 3" exhaust, dual in-tank pumps, 5" i/c, alpha 3076 etc...).
I sent my extra TCU to Scott @ Softronic...I will let you know if anything comes from that.

Tiptronic sucks the life (fun) out of a 996TT. This particular model should only be experienced with lighter flywheel and a tune at a minimum, otherwise it is just another Orthodontist dream car.
