305/30 R19 wheels on 12" wide tire possible?
Hi everybody,
also in Germany my normal tire Combo(Michelin PS2 315/25 R19) is not avaible any more and I will Switch to Michelin PSS 305/30 R19. Is it possible to ride and install it on 12" wide tire or the tire is to wide? The tires are OZ Ultraleggera HLT.

FYI Michelin specs a 10.5" to 11.5" wheel for that size tire.
BTW what front tire do you intend on running with the 305/30R19 rear tire? The 305/30R19 is 26.3" tall, so you will need a very tall tire (that will rub) unless you have removed the awd system.

PSS 305/30/19 works well on 12" rim, I'm running this setup no problems
BTW when measured PSS 305/30/19 against 315/25/19 Nitto Invo's, PSS tires where 1" wider...

I run a 235/40 19 in the front. That makes the front just a little taller than the rear like OE ratios. There is absolutely no rubbing in the front on OE or H&R springs. No rubbing on the rear on OE but slight rubbing on the plastic inner fenders under compression with the H&R's.

I just ordered ADV.1's in a 19x8.5 19x12 setup. I'm going to do the PSS 305's but want to make sure I get the right front tire.
I'm lowered on H&R.

All tire height specs below are specific to the Michelin PSS (except for the stock sizing), not calculated from the size.
I wanted to run a 305/30R19 (26.3" tall) rear tire, but stayed with a 295/30R19 (26.0" tall) rear tire. I new I couldn't go with a taller tire, since my current tire already rubs at full steering lock.
Since my 245/35R19 is 25.8" tall, I didn't want a bigger front to rear differential.
Front = 25.8"
Rear = 26.0"
Front to rear differential = 0.8%
Stock
Front = 25.3"
Rear = 24.9"
Front to rear differential -1.6%
Total difference between my setup and the stock setup = 2.4%
With a 305/30R19 on the rear and a 245/35R19 on the front, I felt it would have been too much.
Front = 25.8"
Rear = 26.3"
Front to rear differential = 1.9%
Total difference between the 305 setup and the stock setup = 3.5%
If a 235/40R19 (26.4" tall) which is taller, but more narrow would clear, than it might be the best setup.
Here's the 235/40R19 and 305/30R19 specs.
Front = 26.4"
Rear = 26.3"
Front to rear differential = -0.4%
Total difference between this setup and the stock setup = 1.2%
Of course, then the 305/30R19 would probably rub with my current offsets.
Okay, I'm done rambling.

My wheels are Champion 19x8.5" front and 19x11" rear. I will have to measure the offsets.
I'll see if I can get it done tonight.
FYI my old 295/30R19 has rubbed on the inside and outside. I believe the ride height was much lower when it rubbed. I have had no rubbing on the rear with my current setup and alignment.
