My Differences in Dyno Numbers

Hey Guys I am at Fluid MotorUnion doing the exhaust swap comparison now. My 100cell Milltek to a Fabspeed catless X.
All I can say it that their Dyno Dynamite dyno in a 4th gear pull is not a happy numbers dyno as compared to the others I have been on. They don't use 3rd because they say it is to violent for the strapping situation.
Ok,, on Protomotive rear Dyno Packs-625, Porsche Exchange rear Dyno Jet-600, Kelly Moss AWD Mustang - 550, And now on this Dyno Dynamics so far 515 before swap.
The graph power curves looked all pretty similar on all the dyno's.
Truth be told.

Doing it now as we speak..
That Fabspeed exhaust is done very nicely, as the cat delete pipes are opened/blended to match bigger tubos also..

You're running in 4th and getting a low number.. that's the closes to 1:1 in our cars.

1st 3.82:1
2nd 2.05:1
3rd 1.41:1
4th 1.12:1
5th 0.92:1
6th 0.75:1

Typically dynos give different reading in different gears. If I remember right, 3rd should give a lower number.. I don't know anything about Dyno Dynamics. My buddy has a Mustang and DynoJet so that's all im used to. Should just goto a DynoJet and spin the 1000lbs roller..

Your Mustang dyno numbers are actually pretty good versus the Dyno Jet numbers. I have seen several people have a variance closer to 15%.

Not sure about the Dyno Dynamics numbers.

I have also seen newer Dyno Jet numbers that were comparible low to Mustang dynos.

Later, Steve

Did a few 5 th gear pulls in the past and made less HP,, probably do to heat soak with the longer time for the pull.

By numbers yes, but don't want to go over (under) 1:1. It's like Price as right, as close as you can without going over

John, as I said in the past, Dyno dynamics always read low. They are an Aussie made heartbreaker!
