Air Cooled guy comes to Dark Side
Welcome Dapainta!
There are a few of us down here in the Phoenix valley running 996TT's in the PCA and other clubs. My friends have had multiple generations of Porsches, I've only run water cooled but have had the one turbo many years.
Look after her, don't let here sit around too much, drive it like you stole it and you won't have any problems.

Another comment... About the driving experiences of these very different Porsches;
The 210HP that my 3.2 delivers to the 2375 lb '75 and (and a nicely sorted suspension set up) teaches you how to approach every bend and hones your skills and ability to judge speed, grip and limits. I believe I am a reasonably good "spirited" driver. I drive locally with friends who are track experienced and dedicated tech drivers. My early 911 years gives me an edge, especially on our local mountain twisties, Now the Turbo, with it's incredible acceleration and AWD grip that I am still in awe of, puts that experience behind a very capable machine. Look around and find yourself the perfect 911 for your tastes and, to quote an old Porsche proverb: "Drive it like you stole it" They love it!!

I'm back!!
It's a 2003 996TT...Finally found and bought another turbo. Waited a long time for the right car. Very cool!! Time to ramp up some turbo chat again.
Guards Red/Black leather, 19" Champion wheels and suspension. Tubi, 6 speed, low miles...
Phoenix
Sure, but only when I have to. ;-(D Weather permitting I usually come down for the first Saturday C&C and other events. I like to do the PCA drives when I can. I head up a nice group of drivers up here in the mountains.

I hear ya, but really no issues with the White one. I sold it on a whim because I needed garage space. I've regretted it every day since. I was very choosy and looked at quite a few to find another cherry. This one is what I've been looking for.
Good to be back...
