Either color is nice but really prefer the darker interior sans wood, easier to keep clean too. To each their own, the red one is VERY good looking!

I actually like black-silver and gray best on the 996t but wanted blue because it was a little different.

 

in an attempt to put the thread back OT, having followed the thread without notice since its inception some 3 yrs ago, i will say the OP has x'lnt taste in porsche's, if not in clear bra's. i once had a 911sc w targa top years ago and a coke spoon to match, and could do nothing re: work on it, although many a girl was auditioned in it. at least it did not self immolate as did my 914/6. though it well should have, given what went on in it.

those were some beautiful cars! but i will say the resurrection of the 991s targa is quite the eye catcher. to MY eye, anyway.

the red one is gorgeous! stunning, really..and please no response requested or required. you've been here long enough to know i am persona non grata, but do appreciate a good find when i see one and offer as much, absent request. gl w it, and enjoy it in good health.

 

I agree....The wood in the 996TT's was surprisingly thin and subject to fade, warp and just plain ugly.
However the "woody" in the 996TT is crisp, firm and no where near ugly (except to the ex-wife!) Perhaps.... ;-(D

 

Once the snow clears I want to line my Porsches up from 75-911 to 03 996TT to 05-997 to 15-991 to best demonstrate the growth in the 911's body...
My 75 looks like a mini next to the 997 or a 991. Now if I could only figure out how many miles of electronic wiring and systems have been loaded on board compared to the wonderfully simple early 911's.. No wonder they are so much bigger!
