I go up to GMG in Santa Ana. A bit of a drive, but great service.

That's messed up! To sell a car after agreeing to a price. That has happened to me a few times with sellers and I've even offered to put a small deposit via PayPal but when you even say PayPal they think you're trying to scam them when it's not for the full amount but just a few hundred dollars for a deposit to hold the car. Other sellers are like first come first serve which is a bit irrational because most people have jobs and just can't drive down with cash in their pocket.

I've used European Motorsports and HG Motorsports. Both do thorough work in my experiences with them.

I bought my '08 997tt a few months back, and almost right away I had a CEL with Cat Efficiency code. I took it to European Motorsports and right away the service manager told me that if it turned out to be a bad cat, it would be covered under the California Emissions warranty and the dealer would replace the entire exhaust with cats for free. Turned out to be the case, and Hoen Porsche did exactly that.

He could have very easily either neglected to alert me of this fact or just not even have known about it. Saved me about 5 grand, and I wasn't ready at that point to upgrade to aftermarket.

Just last week I bought the Protomotive X-pipe catless. So now I have a great aftermarket exhaust as well as a nearly new OEM exhaust.

OP sorry to here about you losing out on that car. I''ve got a buddy with an 01 who might be selling his car but he is in the bay area and the car is slightly modded. Flash, wheels, stereo. I think it's got about 46k miles but the color is silver on gray interior. I think it's a manual.

I've heard nothing but good things about All German Auto in Escondido. That is where I will be taking my car for service.
