Stage 3 Clutchmaster and LWFW- Driving Tips??
So my car is delievered on Sunday and I am obviously working myself up somewhat. (probably over the top)
The current setup is:
Clutchmaster Stage 3, LWFW and GT2 Conversion.
I am obviously worried about stalling since I have never driven a race clutch because it is less forgiving? Engages super fast? Can I drive it like a normal clutch?
I was going to do my normal routine of letting the clutch out very slow with foot on break and feel engagement and give it a little gas or just let the clutch only roll it into first gear.
Do I need to blip the throttle when going into first? (I have never done that type of technique either)
Thanks guys!!!

Some grab low some a bit higher. Trust me if you've driven manual for a while you will get the hang of hit quick
I guess my anxiety gets the best of me, no ones perfect.....lol
My Spec Stg.XX??? 'race' clutch (I don't know exact specs til I take it apart this winter season) sucks big...jitter and grabs like nobodies business( the reason I am the owner of my car-not another Porsche 'buyer')....if you KNOW how to drive a manual car well you won't have issue..... un-natural 'driver' have fun lol
That setup will be easy breezy. I wouldn't worry a bit about it. Take the gt2 conversion out of the equation, and in my experience it is a different story.

Fwiw. Mine was a little tricky getting used to.
Cm stage 3 and stick flywheel and hydraulics.
It just engages/disengages higher than any other car I've owned.
That and it had been a good 4 years since I daily drove a manual.

I have never daily drove a manual before. Drove manual a few times. I took a course yesterday and brushed up for an hour and a half. By the end of the class I was back to normal and smooth. Granted this was in a pick up truck and stick shift was 3 feet long with no rev counter on it either. It was alot of fun though.
Granted I played divsion 1 sports in college so I have very good hand eye coordination

I've always found it's mostly about learning where the engagement is on the pedal and how sensitive the gas pedal is.
When I was young I'd go practice in a parking lot to get the feel.

I have the same race setup and it is a ***** to drive. Don't go on a hill yet because you will stall and hit the other person behind you also will stall on the road until you get used to it. I finally got the hang of it after 3 months and love it.
Ill get it within the day lol.
Okay so I have the exact same set up.
CM stage 3 and the CM LWFW. I also have the Evoms GT2 slave conversion.
Nothing to worry about. Very smooth and no jitters. In fact on a level I can get underway in first just by letting out the clutch slowly. Engagement is right off the floor. No problems what so ever

Your left calf muscle will enlarge by an extra 1" in diameter at its peak measurement point from the pressure you have to apply to push the clutch pedal, you left hip rotator joint will grind and pop every time you get out of your car because you have to lift your leg higher than normal to engage the clutch and you may damage your ACL from twisting your knee to stabilize your but in the seat when it does engage and you accelerate from a stop. And that's only when you are on flat ground.... Wait until you are on a hill and your brow is sweating because you are not sure how far it will roll backwards before you lift your left leg high enough to engage the clutch and not pop the throttle as you move your right foot over to the brake pedal to keep her from rolling backwards.
