Pulling trigger on Tires - 305/30/19 Advice needed

So I am getting upgraded tires as a christmas present, aren't I the lucky one.

So the car is NOT a daily driver (weekend). I was going with the R88's, but with that said I heard the R888's can be extremely loud? Any experience here from owners?

Also any other suggestions on tires and reasoning?

RE-11? AD08?

Thanks!

Have you also looked into the Michelin Super Sport? They're as good as it gets without going semi-slick.

I heard the R888's are "stickier" than the super sports…….I am trying to maximize traction without full drag radials.

I have the super sports and they handle really well for a street tire, but since you're looking for something stickier, the R888's or advan AD08's have my vote. the TOYO's are definitely loud and annoying on the street, but you have an exhaust so you shouldn't hear too much tire noise.

i have michelin super sports on my car for DD duties. they SUCK compared to the grip levels on the r888.

your only real options are the r888's (heavy and loud) or michelin pilot sport cups (expensive and dont last long)

I have a set of low mile Pilot Cup Sport N+ Porsche 305/30/19's and 235/35/19's if anyone is interested then PM me. I'll be listing them up over the next couple days for $1500 vs. the new price of $2200 plus tax and shipping.

I have super sports and love them... the R888's are stickier but the sidewalls are really tall and square so it will affect how much you can lower your car. My 2 cents...

The r888's will only go on the rear and I'll be running the PS2 on the front if that makes any difference.

Sounds like you're running them for straight-line grip only. Having two different tires in the front and back sounds like straight-line performance.

If this is what you're after, get some Drag Radials.

Drag Radials dont handle well in the rain. I want sticky with some performance in the rain if I get caught out in it.

For a great all around tire I like the RE-11s had them my z06 ST1 race car was force to track them when my track wheels didn't fit over my Brembos. I almost didn't run being a baby about it, but ended up turning a 1:37.00 on Millers west track which is really fast for a full 180 tread-wear street tire wish they made a 315/30/18 I would run them in a minute as a DD tire
