800 hp on K16 Billets?
The other point that you have completely ignored is the fact that you are comparing k16's and A28's like they are all identical. They aren't. Martin explained that they use their own proprietary hybrids. You have no idea what they are capable of. You know what yours were capable of. Two completely different things.
to their claims of 900 hp on a28s and 800 hp on a k16.
How about this: You're researching 996TT? I can tell you right now, you
will not find a cheaper means to reach 800 hp. Buy yourself a 996TT
and slap AMSs k16 turbo package on it. Per the ad you'll need to go
with all the fixings. There's no mention of an engine build. And again,
you will not find a cheaper means to get to 800 I promise and I should
know. Now go run 1.4 bar on pump for 630 hp and throws some ms109
in there and run it up to 1.7 bar. Do a couple runs and get back with me
on that
I wasn't talking about comparing them to each other. I was talking about the fact that the k16's and a28's you used aren't the same as the ones used by AMS. You were basing your assumptions on your personal experiences with what yours produced, with no actual knowledge about the design differences.
3 feet out of the exhausts.

I bought the headers right after I got the car. When I was doing all 3 builds
I'd ask the techs if I should change out the headers and everybody said
it wouldn't make a difference and that these were fine!
I may be selling the car soon so I started listing all the mods and it's just
crazy. The body, interior, engine, trans and suspension..... it's shares
very little in common to a stock 996TT.

wheel you put in them, this is a limiting factor.
On the other hand, if they've totally frankensteined them....who knows.
I am quite naturally working under the assumption that they're being
honest about the k16 and a28 designation.
some stuff from Vivid and I thought Mr. Misha was going to come
through the phone and strangle me!!!
Randy, what would you say about a package that advertises 720whp and 731ftlbs. at 1.4 bar on a stock block? This package is advertised as a 850 hp package. It's called the Ski850 kit. Specifically built for stock block cars. Better start a new thread.
Can't have anyone peddling unreasonable expectations around here.
Well, this has been an entertaining trainwreck. I'll give you that.

My point: the set up is open so if you build your motor you can turn it up... or , if you have ***** you do it on a stock block... to each his own... my limit is 1.5 bar with race gas and that is a 800 hp crank set up on 3 different dynos performed by clients independently not me...
not exaggerated by no means... the turbos have it and then some... we have 3 wheel options, and FADI, a 6speed member has the bigger one, You can ask him about his set up... etc.
Mind you, all of the above kits with the exception of our car were put together by client chosen shops and tuned remotely... without dyno tuning.... hope that sheds some light on the kit since you brought it up...

low 700s on stock blocks have been around for long time... and still around... why dont you ask one of the moderators URBANHOTROD who had the kit b4 he went nuts on his build... he took the car to a dyno without fans on the ICs and made over 700 whp at 1,5 bar... we turned the kit up to 1.7 bar on our car and made 800whp.... I never said that kit is for stock blocks only... I only sell them and set the kits to run low TQ ( under 700 to the wheels).. mind you , the kit comes with a EBC, dynos are not all uniform, but in my case even Scott (diverrextreme) who bought our own gt2 with this kit made the same power at TCPs dyno... furthermore, a driversources' client made 800 plus to the wheels on a build motor at 1.5. etc... and Nick whos on here too also made the HP on TCPs dyno....

Well, the 16 and the 28 have very small hot housings. No matter what size
wheel you put in them, this is a limiting factor.
On the other hand, if they've totally frankensteined them....who knows.
