He did the run at 30psi or 2+bar 3.8 engine and the other run was 1.5bar 3.6 engine... Results were almost the same

1.65bar dyno on my setup with huge turbos compared to a28 and result was 816 crank hp...

So built 3.6L with all supporting mods, A28s, race gas and 1.5 bar = 650 whp, but built 3.8L with all supporting mods, A28s, race gas plus meth and 2 bar = 850 whp - is that the gist of it?

boost and turbos the same, assuming both have forged rods/pistons

just 3.6-3.8 no head mods is only worth 40hp or so from what i have seen.

but 3.8 with ported heads, cams, maybe bigger valves etc. is worth 150-175hp over stock head and 3.6

That is what I'm running now. Well, it's a 3071 with a 73mm wheel.....
and 3.8

I'm 800+ rw. And mid 4s 60-130. Contrary to popular belief, you don't
need giant turbos to go fast in these cars. There's nothing wrong with
big turbos but it's not necessary unless you competing in the mile events.

Orbello was using meth inj. I was MS109

And although I was 650 there was another 30 hp in that setup.
Straight pipes and turbo inlets and I would have been at 680.

I think orbello had headwork and straight pipes. A28s flow 47lb /min
With the right setup a 850 pull is possible but I wouldn't think that it's
representative of real world power.

I don't think AMS ever brought 996TT intercoolers into production. A prototype set was on their shop car (Engine Guy's car now).

Their 997TT intercoolers are pretty awesome though. The real world results achieved by AMS and MegioN have been very impressive.

Yes you are right only for the 997tt ATM.

Yes the coolers were fitted to MegioN's car but where are the datalogs?

How are they pretty awesome? How can you base your opinion that coolers are great when all you have done is stick them on a car which had bad coolers to begin with!?

MegioN has posted the difference in IAT if I recall correctly, and it was dramatically better with the AMS intercoolers vs. what he had before. I will try to find his post, but am on my phone at the moment.

Maybe he did. But I can remember. I will go and check.

One point though how can we be sure that they are far better than what Porsche made i.e. the GT2 RS coolers?
