Anyone have Softronic issues?

Running a softronic tune on my car and it has trouble finding full boost after being run at the track. There are NO leaks, the DV's are new and billet, the intercoolers do not leak, everything seems to be fine. The needle is pointing to the tune. Anyone ever experience this?

When the car works it develops 1.2 bar in all gears. After one lap it gets .6 to .8 in first through third gears and maybe a little more in fourth and fifth due to less load. This has been a recurring issue on my car for a year. Not sure if the tune is too aggressive. I just got word that my car holds pressure and has no leaks (originally I thought I had a boost leak) so now it seems the problem could be the tune. Just trying to see if anyone else had ever had this issue.

It may be an inconsistent boost leak at the check valves. When you're experiencing lower boost pressures, is the boost or boost recovery lazier?

Its not the tune... unless you have the wrong tune but I doubt it...
could be a turbo going out... a bad Wg.... maybe a MAF... etc...
you can log a 3rd gear pull if you have the cable... lots will be told...

If you were getting that boost before,, Something else is wrong,, tunes don't change themselves like that..
Do as Mark said with a log to find out..
Good luck

The techs said exactly the same thing. They are going to dyno it today and see what is going on but they mentioned that it could be a bad turbo...

Strangely enough, the car was dynoed and was gone through top to bottom. Puts out 480 HP to the wheels, 513 ft/lbs torque to the wheels. On the dyno it's pulling 1.2 bar (adjusted from pressure). So, it could be a bad cluster. Strange strange.

What exhaust?

Ive heard reports of a couple sets of exhaust cats fail (rotate inside) and cause intermittent limp mode issues. Exceptionally hard to diagnose.

The car doesn't go into limp mode. The boost display just shows .6 to .8 bar under full load. Hooked up to they dyno it shows 1.2 bar and the right amount of power. So could be the cluster or the boost gauge. I'm done with it though. If all is good I am not chasing this issue any longer.

All you have to do is log the set point boost and the actual boost. You have cable I'm guessing.
What's holding you up. You can make this easy.

I would get those billet diverter valves off! I had them and in no time one stuck partially open....I took it off the car and beat on it and could not get it to move! Lucky it did not damage the turbo.....Put OEM back on and no more problems....

Good luck!
DC

Note....Mine was on a 997 Turbo....
