Question for the engine removal experts

In the middle of taking the engine out and i must admit i am confused with the A/C wire and connector. To me it doesn't feel like it is a OEM one so i want to know if someone messed with my car prior to my ownership or is this a real OEM connector.

So the Brown thing is the connector where my A/C wire was plugged, anyone ever seen that?

Alex, if you are talking about this yellow and green wire, yes it is normal and yes there is only one wire going to the a/c compressor and this wire connection is normal….Good luck with your removal and do not hesitate to ask question, J.P.

Yes it is!!! Agree with Earl!!! How can you complain about a Porsche design? German engineering are flawless!!! Ask me how many parts I have replaced so far on my BMW and now my C350 is also breaking….OMG Lexus I'm coming, enough of one german car ;-)

A bit related to this. After you remove the wire lay the a/c compressor and the p/s pump outside the engin bay but leave them connected. No need to remove the freon or petosin

Agree!!!! Good suggestion! But I didn't know you can do this with the power steering pump….

I was totally shocked to see that type of connector when I pulled mine. What a POS connector! The hoses on the power steering pump are real easy to disconnect and I didn't lose a drop of fluid. I then tied them up.
