Tips for 6 hour drive home

So tomorrow is the day, I'm landing in Pittsburgh at about 8:15am and getting picked up by the dealer. If all goes well I should be on the road back to New York by about 10:30am. Is there anything specific I should check for besides the obvious fluids and tire pressure for the long drive back? I know it doesn't have a spare tire so I was thinking of stopping at a local pep boys or something and pick up a small air compressor and tire sealant just in case. It's an 03' tt with 25k miles on it, seems like it should be ok for the drive home, but if there is anything specific I should check before hand please let me know. Thanks!

- Make sure you have all of your sale documentation / temp tag in case you get pulled over.
- Have AAA or towing info from your insurance carrier. I wouldn't bother with a spare/sealant. If you break down - tow it...you won't get far even if you could patch a tire.
- Cell phone and charger - have a friend on hand at home in case you need assistance
- Nav system - either in the car or a portable one
- Check oil, cooolant, tire pressure, brake fluid, power steering fluid - dealer should have checked all of this for you though
- camera to take pictures of your ride home

Otherwise, enjoy the ride! Great experience. Don't 'hot dog' yet...get her home safe, then start testing the limits. Only boost in a straight line.
Good luck!

check fluids, tire pressure, fill up and gas and go. I flew to Chicago from Colorado to pick mine up in a bad winter storm and drove home 16 hours with no issues. Mine was an 01 with 71k miles on it. I think you will be just fine. Have fun!

Pull over and Check the car halfway.....two 3 hour trips is easier than one 6 hour trip. The break helps. Always helped me when driving up to Killington in the winter from Long Island.

Man, when I bought my car I flew from Georgia to Louisiana to drive her home. The PO had a 6 puck SPEC clutch in it. The car was literally undriveable.

It was the worst 7.5 hr drive of my life. I got stuck on Bourbon street somehow and was stalling out in a 911 Turbo every 50 feet. People walking all around me.

A very memorable first drive in my new 996 T

Get the AAA 200 mile tow package. One use and it will cover years of membership fee.

Where's your compressor. Do get the compressor. I would use good gas too, just a small security thing. Pack a rain gear just incase, and I second the AA package although I think it requires 48 hours waiting period to be active.
And please if you need a tow, make sure they bring a flat bed only and blocks to get your front end over the bed lip or if you are lucky they will have the newer break away beds that don't require blocks. Make sure the guy that tows remembers to use the blocks to unload your ride too. Been there a couple of times for that

Porsche... in PITTSBURGH!? Must be a typo.

EDIT: Ahh I found it. I did see that car earlier as well. Do you mind sharing how much off the asking you got it for?
