How much should I pay for a turbo 996?
Hello everyone.
In the market for my first porsche, looking at 996 turbos. Wanting to get opinions as to what a fair price range would be for cars in the 15k to 50k miles range. 6 spds.
Done the normal kbb, looked at various classifieds.. prices seem to vary a good amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking at a few today.
Thanks.

a 15-50k mile car would be somewhere btw $40k ( lowest ) for the higher mile car and $55k+ for a lower mile, cleaner, and later MY example. probably a $45K average. sadly, i've seen hi mileage cars for as little as 35K!

Looking for mods or no?
Stock, I'd say $43-46k for one in sound condition
With mods and well maintained, I'd say $45-$50k ($30k in mods may only add $5k to the selling price)
Questionable ones with lots of owners, very high mileage - spotty records would likely be in the $33-$42k range
Just guessing at numbers here...but I'd suggest that you pay a little more for the well sorted, well maintained versions that have not been homebrewed or Frankensteined.
Stock or modded with no history/maintenance could get massively expensive - labor is not cheap on these (unless you DIY, then it is just very expensive).

Thanks for all of the replies. There are 3 I'm looking at. I'd like to find one in the mileage range I asked about, so the 3 have 17k, 45k, and 55k (01, 03, 04). All are stock. One of them has some aftermarket rims.
I'm a car enthusiasts and believe in you pay for what you get, so no problem spending more for a well sorted one with history. But these 3 seem to be priced on the high side, which is why I ask.
So far by what everyone has said, seems to confirm my belief. I also am a DIY, but never worked on one of these. I'm assuming very difficult.

It seems like they're all priced on the high side, but there is also only a handful of 996 turbos available at a time. Find one with the right maintenance history and decent mileage and you'll be ok. Good luck with your purchase!

so the 3 have 17k, 45k, and 55k (01, 03, 04). So you are saying if I am following a pattern that the 01 has 17K mile, the 03, 45K miles and the the 04, 55K miles. Seems like it should be reversed. Don't know you typed it out.
