JIC or now ZMS has some offerings too if you want to research that:

They are local to me and I might pay them a visit.

I think someone asked about price? I believe the k-sports are still about the same as before. $1399 shipped for the turbo versions. $1040 for the C2.

It will be pretty cheap, plug-and-play and I'm sure you can resell easily since there are probably plenty of folks out there that want to keep the car stock but are in need of fresh shocks given the age of the 996.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the KSports will cost less than OEM shock replacement. Does that sound right?

Looks like it should be just about the same. Pricing out Bilstein OE replacements comes to $1,038 vs. $1,040 for the K-sports.

I was more thinking about ease of resale since you will more than likely upgrade at some point. Porsche owners are picky, so I think they either want OE replacements or will go all out with KW/Bilstein coilovers.

Gotcha. I'm going to holdout for a deal on a used set of Ohlins or KW. I'm not sure how long I'll be keeping the car yet so it's hard to commit to anything too expensive. At the same time, I don't want junk. The downside on the OE replacements is that it wont lower the car any...I'm installing 19s this week and I anticipate a truck stance without any intervention.

Yea, stock ride height is definitely too high for my liking. I stuck to 18s as my main goal for any mods is performance/handling.
