my 01 tt has had rippling on the dashboard above top (passenger defroster area above) for one year now.(o.k. Darren I know you've been telling me to fix it for a long time!). no reason for this-possible manufacturer defect or moisture. now the black dash is actually "peeling" away . should any dealer repair this without an issue under full warranty legally?

 

IMO Drbill I think it should be covered without a problem as a quality issue, if you have a good relationship with your service advisor that would be a plus.

I am having them replace mine next week. Also inquire about paying the difference and getting the 02 dash with the glove box. They are authorized to do it. I check with several pals at dealers and my dealer also confirmed. The cost between the two is about 1K in parts (wholesale)

 

Definately should be a warranty issue. Regardless of dealer.
