Looking for cheap sticky tires ?
guys check these out....
theyre in the same category as r888's and cup tires !
on sale for $230 you cant go wrong. a 140 treadwear will probably last from now until the season is over... this tire has more grip than any street tire. treat yourselves to some lateral g-force !

If you read that link, it says that they are actually 200 treadwear rated.
Maybe someone will bite and try these out, but after my last experience with Hankook tires on my turbo, I wouldn't buy them unless they have rave reviews from the community.

the rs3 was the only h'kook tire i had one day hoped to try. they can't be nearly as awful as the v12, and i've heard decent things about them.
i don't think they can be had in proper gt2 sizes though.

I had the V12's and at lower tire pressures, they were one of the worst tires I have every used. With a little more air, they completely transformed to one the of better tires I have tried. I think this sensitivity to air pressure is why you get such a wide range of reviews on the tire.
For reference, on my Supra, 33psi sucked and 35psi was really good.
ttboost, try upping the pressure 2-3psi.
This is in reference to the V12 being a street tire, I don't think they handle track temps very well.

The thing that it seems like people miss the point of when tire shopping and recommendations is that tires are like shopping for shoes. They are all made a little different to cater to a certain aspect. And most of the time you can't have it all in one tire. You will always compromise something. Sticky tires are usually noisier, long life tires usually don't have the best traction. Then their is the temperature aspects. So saying a tire sucks weighs in about as much as a shoe review. And you never know if somebody didn't like a particular shoe because they were expecting a running shoe but purchased a loafer. I know it is a silly analogy, but it seems that tires are always discussed without discussing what the expectations are.
I used to run the RS-2s which these replaced on my c5 z06 back when it was a street car. I thought they were one of the best drive to the track and run tires I ever tried. They never made a 315/30/18 in the rs3 so I never bought them again but great tire. I see that they have a fitment for my sons 951 and he needs tires bad. thanks for the heads up!
The r-s3s are a 140 and are a much different tire than the v12s which are a 280 tread wear with much smaller tread blocks.

The Hankooks were on my car when I bought it. I did mess with air pressures too, everything from 30-40psi..no real noticeable difference for me. When I got my car, it was making 670ft/lbs at the tires. They are very inexpensive tires. $250 for the rears and $150 for the fronts if I recall?). I always had traction issues, even on warmer days. While it's irrelevant, my car makes 754ft/lbs at the tires now...and they are borderline useless. I'm looking for drag radials now...
Love this guys review lol:
Initial Review, 13,000 Miles on Tires 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe

After only 13,000 average miles they are shot.
13,000 miles and they are shot? That's herculean for a R compound tire on the street, he should be praising them for that.
