Car seat for 5 year old without ordering online?

I need a car seat this weekend that can fit properly in the back for my 5 year old daughter. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good model that could be found locally at a retail store like baby's r us or Walmart, target, etc.
I searched and there are some I could order online but I need it by Sunday.

Wife is going away and I have an event I wanted to be at with the porsche. I can take the kids, son is 10 and tall and usually rides up front anyways but need to find something for daughter. Her existing seat is bigger than the stock rears..

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've got a Recaro ProBooster in mine (not to be mistaken with the Recaro Performance Booster that has a wider base) -
Amazon.com: RECARO ProBOOSTER High Back Booster Car Seat, Riley: Baby Amazon.com: RECARO ProBOOSTER High Back Booster Car Seat, Riley: Baby

I drop my 4 yr old daughter off at preschool in my car every day. I've got 3 other car seats across my stable of vehicles and my daughter loves this one the most.

It'll drop right in. Though a couple of adjustments will make it fit much nicer. I choose to remove the flip down back so the car seat tucks in tighter. I also elongated the seat belt receiver stop so it can angle forward more.

We're with NNJR too! These I bought from target: Harmony with back and headrest. I didn't look at the price. Plug and play, no adjustments necessary, narrowest find. Probably $40-$60. The other is narrowest booster Cosco brand (also from Target) that I have in the rear and in front when necessary at about $14. So easy, kids buckle themselves in so my a$$ is not sticking out getting them buckled in. My 3 and 5 year olds fit in the high back, BUT the 5 year old, 7 and 9 year olds prefer the no back. Great color match too!

Have fun!!!

Cabs also have less room in the back. It's subtle, but noticeable (seat backs are canted forward significantly). Just FYI. Either way, removing the seat bottoms and backs can give you more room and will save wear.

I was able to fit my son's Graco rear facing in our coupe with the wife in the front seat, but no one was super comfortable. He's *almost* big enough for a front facing so I'll be in a similar boat soon. I have a couple safety 1st convertibles that I'm hoping will fit. When that time comes I'll update my findings.

I haven't had the need to remove the seats/backs yet since they are still small (maybe it's me). I'm with you on trying different configurations to make the family happy. I think we own close to 15 carseats spread among the Expedition for long hauls, wagon weekender, Audi A4 (his), and 911 (hers). Combi Corocco is sweet for 3-in-a-row convertible in the Audi when the husband needs to cart 4 kids in a pinch. My pics are on the Amazon website as I preordered it pre-release '07. Color scheme also great match with Audi interiors.

A friend has a mini-cooper with infant. If you don't like the corocco, I'll ask him what he has.

A posible solution could be the boy in the back and the girl in the front with whatever available car seat. Weekend will be tomorrow. Enjoy.

Actually not an option for me. I don't think I can turn off the passenger air bag, and nj has some of the strictest child seat laws, she must ride in the back.

Any my wife would flip...

Hey mama is this the same model you got?

I use a Britax roundabout in the back for my 2y old. I recently removed the seat back, so I should have even more room now.

Sorry Marie,
I don't drive the porsche daily. I just picked it up and tried it at home, it fits just right, thank you very much. I might end up taking the back out eventually so she can recline it a bit, it's a bit too upright, but for now it solves the problem. BTW they are on sale for 31.99
Thanks again,

I wanted to go to the Paul miller C&C this Sunday, that's where I had bought the car from and got an invite.

Anyone else going?

Nice, glad she likes it. Raj found our 911 from Paul Millers but not going Sunday-- bday party here. We're going to the rallye May 4th or 5th and wait list for the autox. We're taking 2 kiddos for the rallye... If you are going, our kids could hang.
