Cargraphics or Europipe: Which is the best?

Hey guys,

My first modification will be a muffler change, since I want to improve the sound of the car and unleash some horsepower.

I have researched lots of threads and the Cargraphic Export and the Europipe Stage 2 Loud and Quiet appear to be the most popular among our fellow members.

I primarily want the system that makes the car sound exotic and burly at the same time. I have heard the Fabspeed mufflers and don't prefer the tone they generate. I want something more refined sounding, but that turns angry at full throttle.

I also don't want a lot of resonance either, but will accept reasonable levels if necessary to get the best sounding system and the most horsepower increase. Quality and workmanship is a plus, but sound quality and power are the most important factors.

What do you guys think?

Thanks
George

Any feedback in regards to the sound characteristics of each exhaust would be greatly appreciated.

As you know, it is impossible to determine how a system sounds via online soundclips.

Thanks again.

Exhaust is very subjective..

I have a full Cargraphic exhuast on my Boxster and Love it. Great sound no Resonance.

My Friend Paul has had all the exhuasts on his Turbo..
He first had the Fabspeed.. Which he sold after one week.. He hated the build quality and he said the resonance was ridiculous..

He then had Europipe loud which he liked but after a year switched to the CG Loud because it makes a little more power and has no resonance.. the system is also much lighter than stock although I do not know how much lighter it is than the EP
If you want to hear sound clips .. search the forums Board member LSM has some good clips of the CG loud in one of the threads

George, where are you located in calif?
You may want to audition the PSI exhaust if you're in the Bay Area.

You're right. You really have to hear the exhausts in person to make a decision. Here are a couple of video clips for you to check out anyway It has idle sound, inside and outside car sound. Use Quicktime version 7.

The car is a stock turbo with a PSI Loud exhaust. If your car is chipped/flashed, the exhaust will get throatier and louder.

I've had the EP Loud before, which is also a very nice exhaust. They both resonate a bit, but at different RPM range. The PSI puts out more turbo noise/music than the EP does.

Collin,

I am in the Sacto area, but not too far from the Bay. Maybe I can make it down one weekend.

Have you guys heard the Cargraphic system as well? I heard the sound clips that LSM posted and they sound nice, then again still not real life. I did not find any of the EP that were helpful. Does the EP Quiet sound much louder than stock?

Thanks
George

Get the Cargraphic Super Sound Export version. BEST sounding exhaust bar none. No resonance and was tested to make just as much power as the Fab. No offense to anyone, but the Fab sounds like **** in both versions. Europipe Stage 2 Loud is heavy and mine at least had WAY more resonance than the Cargraphic and wasn't very loud on the outside, only the drone on the inside.

Here again are some exhaust clips of my Cargraphic exhuast.

Be sure to right click, "save copy as", and save to your desktop. Play the video from there or they will appear choppy and won't sound right:
