painted front intake slats on 2004 coupe

I ordered the slats in the front air intakes on my 2004 turbo painted in exterior color (polar silver). Does anyone have a picture of this? I think the painted front intake slats option is a new one for model year 2004. Has anyone on this board actually taken delivery on a 2004 coupe? Evidently there can't be more than 84 of us in all of North America . I am still waiting for mine.

Why would Porsche offer painted grill slats, but not the lower lip?

I think it'd look so much better if they only painted the horizontal slates of the grille, and not the portion at the corners behind the slates. If I end up going that route, that's what I'd do. I'm surprised nobody has tried that yet.

Stephen - I agree with you!! those painted corners are horrid!!
Also, here in the MidEast - Porsche has a factory option on the TT where you can get the side skirts factory painted for thoswe who do not want the aerokit...I think sideskirts should be painted as a standard feature...

Gregg T had the C4S lip filled and only the slats of the grills painted to match, and I personally think it looks much better.....

The painted sideskirts are on the Aerokit option, the front lip, rear fixed wing and painted sides.

Sentipede - that looks sweet
JAS - I know the aerokit comes with sideskirts painted but here you can get sideskirts painted without lip and wing as a factory option...

To color the front spoiler pigment would have to be added to the plastic prior to it being molded. Paint won't stick to that type of plastic.
