How to value a low mileage, 997 Turbo S Cab?

Hey guys looking to get a TT and came across a one owner 2005 Turbo S Cab with under 15k miles. Trying to decide on what is a fair price for the vehicle?

I can get a 08/09 Turbo Cab for the asking price, but loved my 04 C4S and think the turbo would be a great car.

Is there any future value in an excellent low mileage Turbo S Cab? I am not buying it as anything but a fun car to drive, but they are asking a premium for the vehicle. ($68,500)

I have seen prices all over the map for these cars but there are not very many to get a good handle on the true value.

Any input would be great, working on setting up the PPI this week.

An 05 Turbo S cab would be a 996, not 997.

68,500 is too much for that car, just look for an 02-03 with low mileage and you'll save a lot of money for the same exact car.

$60k is a fair value, I paid exactly that on Long Island for a 2005 Coupe TTS.

post the link to the car for sale because I looked at A LOT of cars this year and it may be one I went over with a fine tooth comb

Should read 996 Turbo S Cabriolet

http://inventory.mgmsl.com/web/used/...Ohio/15967091/

Yes it's a 996, it was late and I have fat fingers!

This car is over-priced. You should be able to find an 04-05 TT Cab with the X50 engine upgrade for around $60K, or less. This car also has a tiptronic. These usually reduce the price even further as most buyers want the 6 speed. The "S" model also has the PCCB brakes. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I do know that if you damage a rotor it's about $5K for one rotor.

The PCCB are a concern to me, just because replacement cost. I will not be tracking the car. A Tip or PDK car is a must since I have had back surgery and can not clutch anymore.
Thinking for the price I can find a 997.1 TT Cab, just did not know if the low mileage one owner "S" was worth a price premium.
Advice is much appreciated.

Crap, you are not buying a fecking EVO, this is a top of the wazza Porker, the PCCB is well worth the loot

But tippy tranny is worth far less IMHO (I am a 6MT biased guy)

Tip 2005 in immaculate condition = 55-58k $

FWIW - I looked at some Ferraris Marshall Goldfinger had for sale, all were immaculate and WAY overpriced

Offer them something insulting like $51k and see what they say

in mid 2012 looked at 1 owner 996 05 turbo S cab 6 sp 19k miles- carmona red at local BMW dealer- nice car but didn't like color (it's same as on wife 07 BoxsterS) - priced at ridiculous 69k offered 54k out the door & they accepted- decided not to spend $$ on car i didn't like color- kept '02 996C2-
6 months later bought a beautiful 1 owner 07 997.1TT Tip, 19k miles, cobalt blue, CF interior, 2 yr CPO at local porsche dealer for $61.7- sold 30k mile 996C2, X-74 susp, Tubi, Sport-techno rims to neighbor for $22.5-

Always start by taking down 20-15% off asking... They are dreaming thinking someone will want a low mileage 996 for 997 price.
I took off 16% off the asking price when I bought mine and stuck to it and they accepted.

Thanks for all of the input, since I have a pretty nice budget of 70-80, I think I am going to look at some 997.1 TT Cabriolets. It will still have to be a Tip because of my back, unless I pay up for a PDK car.
Every time I start thinking this way I end up rat ionizing more and more money until it becomes crazy again.

Thank for all the input! Will post pics when I finally get one.

You are definitely in very good 997 range, good luck with your purchase.

There are no 02 or 03 Turbo cabs - only 04 for regular Turbo, and then 05 for Turbo S.
