Clutch Slave Return Line Aluminum End

I am in the process of changing my slave and I damaged the aluminum end of the return line. The end isn't available separately, so I will have to buy the complete hose. Does anyone know what I can use as a substitute for the end? I thought these ends were the same as a fuel line or AC line?

I put it together last night and It doesn't seem to leak. At least there isn't any drips under the car. Thanks for the offer, but I think the old one will work.

In fact it is expensive, $85.00 for #99631428004. My concern is to replace it with the engine in place! I remember it is clip at several location and goes under the intake manifold and the oil filter housing towards the steering reservoir…My guess is you can only replace the end and install a clamp. Good luck with this project….

I was having a hard time pulling it out of the slave so I pulled the end out of the hose and removed the slave with the end still in it. I scratched up the fitting when I was removing it from the slave. It has a black coating on the outside, but I guess it wasn't damaged where it contacts the sealing O-rings.

I didn't even price it out in Canada but the USA list was over $100.00. I was thinking of more like $140.00 CDN.

The clutch sure feels different with the new slave. The engagement point is a lot lower, but at least it's consistent.

Robert, you mean you got it in and it is working properly? If you got no leak may be the damage is not, like your saying, in the area where the o-ring is sealing…Why worry? I had difficulty bleeding the slave. Did it several times with a motive bleeder and finally was able to get all the air out…How did you bleed yours? At Sonnen it is $85.75. I always order my parts from them and they use Fedex.

I just jacked it up to bleed it again because it seemed like my clutch pedal had too much free play. I used my oil extractor to bleed it. It seems like there is less free play now, but I'll have to drive it to confirm that.

I still might have to change the return line end, it looks a little damp around the fitting. However that may be from bleeding it yesterday.

Can you check if you have one of these ends that you can sell me? It dripped a little over the winter. I just need the short aluminum end.
