Winter wheels with blizzacks are on! Bring it!

I cannot wait for snow storm, I always consider driving cars all year round! only that really pisses me off is salt ! but I Hand wash it and use very little pressure to get some salt from under the car. Winters in Chicago are not that bad. Its freezing, but not that much snow, If we get snow it can drop few inches here and there. I went through winter seasons with 2 Evo's M3, S4, M3 was ok in snow. - I wonder how P car can handle snow, ill keep you guys posted, with pics and driving personal experience!.

I'm running stock suspension with winter package! all fluids are changed, I'm going to change fuel filter, running 15mm spacers all around- rear wheel is 18x10 with 265 tire, front ones are same size as oem, with blizzacks mounted. I always prepare ahead of time. they dont look that bad, I believe wheels are called techno, it was a winter package from tirerack few years back, I managed to find them locally ! and picked them up for a very good price! tires are pretty much brand new.

Let me know guys if there's anything I need to take care of during winter time, Or if you drive your P car all year round, share some info ! :-)

I will be putting some winter tires on stock wheel sizes soon. Planning to go with Dunlop Wintersport 3D in 235/40/18 and 284/35/18. My car is lowered on H&R springs though. Excited to see how the rear engine and AWD tackles the snow.

I've driven my TT through 3 winters so far - This thing drives like a tank in the snow. The look on the jacked up 4X4s when you take off at a light - priceless!

i'm a believer on these ice tires they worked! must use four tires to be 100% effective though. To up the ante if you live in a really icy part of the country is to add some studs into it and the only time your car can't handle the snow anymore is if you start to plow the snow in front of you due to the height issue.

Last winter was rough here. I have no doubt these cars are capable. The other people on the road and potholes are another story. I was doing slaloms around potholes while others were not as lucky busting tires or bending rims. If your neck of the woods is in better condition, then enjoy!

My trips are short. 15min one way. Roads are pretty solid. I agree how people react to our cars or any awd turbo car and i know any suv or truck think small cars cant handle snow. Im going to slap some pictures. Each time it snows.

I have the same wheels with Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds on mine. The thing is a blast in the snow. Of course it has less grip than the dry, but plenty to get around and have good fun. PSM is very noticeable on ice, it really does help keep the *** end under control.

No, for the most part PSM is quite helpful when in snow/ice. Unless you want to go sideways around turns of course.

Enjoy! You don't need no stinkin' truck LOL Tires make all the difference. Even a rwd car would do fine with good winter tires.
