My GT2 Race Car on the Dyno
Finally, this thing is alive! First pull today, certainly nothing impressive like we are used to seeing around here. But, it is an important step in this build. It's a 3.8, with some Tials and what nots. This is a purpose built race car to compete in GT1 with our local Porsche clubs at a couple of high speed tracks. (Fontana and Willow Springs). The goal is 700 or so wheel and a flat torque curve to get out of the corners. Too much power on these road circuits does not work too well
Anyway, we set the low and mid range maps and ran out of injector at .7 bar. We will end up running 1.2 in race trim. The car weighs 2528 without driver but 5 gals of fuel, fluids, etc. No cool suit or any of that girly stuff for the 30 minute sprint races I'll be competing. More to come as we get things sorted out. They are 11" front and 13" rear Forgeline GA3R race wheels. Very light weight and strong. The other set I will run have gun metal gray centers.
Influenced yes, but no. The suspension subframes, uprights, brakes, etc. yes all RSR to run RSR drive angle, RSR wheel and tire sizes to hopefully make this thing hook...
