Finally got some Dyno results.... road course set up
On DOTs, With stock RUF street aero, the car's run 1:55:17 at HPR where the TT1 and TTU record is held by an ACR Viper at 1:55:26 and 1:55:88. Very few cars break 2 minutes at that track. Chris has run a 1:53:6 in his modded 997GT3 on Pirelli slicks which is just a mind boggling time. He will be making some changes to my car and feels confident we should be able to get in to 1:53s fairly easily even on DOTs.. Should be fun... The plan is for all of us to make it out to Miller this year for the club race. If you ever get the itch to come down and run with us, please let me know.

Excellent statement Pwdrhound.
Chris is amazing but, Chris has help you to some extent and you in turn, helped me become a better driver at the track. You, have taken his driving skills with your car to another level!
Chris runs a 2.03 in a fricken 99' boxer, at the same track that, I run a 2.03 in a tuned 997 turbo, while you, 1.55 with this setup.
Thankfully this nuthead (Chris Cervelli) set my car up prior to my best time. BTW(" Cervelli technical" kills it.) I would trailer my car to this guy for his advice and setup.!
At the track, I only am concerned about guys that have actually found this guy, "Cervelli." This is my competition for sure!
I think we need to understand what "pushing it to the limits" really means. This is where your best track time lay.
As far as you engine goes, you should be proud dude, I wouldn't ask for more unless you knew exactly how you would handle it.

Chris is the most talented and fastest driver I've ever had a chance to run with. He's absolutely amazing to watch behind the wheel. He's the one that has set up my whole car and I've gotten quite a bit of coaching from him. If you ever get a chance to hop a ride with him, do so. It's an eye opener. I remember the first time I rode along with him in his Cup car.....

Goodness! Those are some serious turbo's! And I like that peak hp near redline too.
Can you list parts on your motor rebuild? I'd love a 7400 rpm redline and/or that GT2 RS gearset.
That thing is gonna fly on the front straight at Miller! You got wings and stuff yet?

Hey Dez,
Right now it's stock RUF street aero I'll have a Cup wing on the car before the start of the season. Also gonna add some canards on the front. RUF is using those on the CTR now. The RUF front aero is very good and doesn't need much as it already has a splitter and the air is vented over the hood. For the engine rebuild, we are keeping the existing UMW Turbos/injectors and RUF intake system. As far as the parts list on the rebuild goes, we are swapping in the following:
GT3RSR crankshaft and oil pump
GT3 crank pulley
3.8 Mahle Motorsport pistons and liners
Pauter Rods
Valvetrain upgrades
Walbro 450 fuel pump
Titanium 3" exhaust
Clutch was replaced this past year with the 764/4.0/964 kit so nothing to change there. Gearbox is getting the 7GT2 1-3 main shaft and a 996 Cup selector lever.
Engine was removed yesterday and it is currently fully disassembled. No real problems with the engine. IMS thrust bearing showed some wear and that is the source of the elevated copper readings on Blackstone. Crank thrust bearings also showed some wear due to the clutch interlock (the interlock has recently been removed which allows you to start the car with clutch released just like on all the ROW cars). I would advise anyone to do the same and wish I would have done it a long time ago. Rod bearing showed a little distress but nothing major. Valve guides showed some wear. Everything else was like new.. You could still see the cross hatching on the cylinder sleeves.
We're waiting on a few items but once everything is in, should take a few days to get the motor back together.
Cheers...

Just a tick over 50k miles and 110hrs track..
Looking forward to seeing how this goes. i think the fastest time for any TT car at HPR is Chris Mayfield in his TT3 BMW at 1:53. He is two time Nasa National Champion and will probably go faster this year with new front aero on his car. Should be a fast RX7 and evo in TT2 that will probably be around the same times as well. Hopefully in the next couple years I'll make the jump to TT and join you out there, but first need to get someone to help me set up my suspension.

Come on out. Should be fun. I'm gonna run NASA this year. I've seen Chris Mayfield out there. I think he runs the red BMW that is full on gutted race car. Not street legal. Overall NASA best is his 1:54.59 according to NASA records. Here is Chris Cervelli in his street GT3 at 1:53.6 on Pirellis slicks. Crazy fast....

LOL, I remember watching you two battle. I actually had blood dripping off my ear due to Chris's car.
Your 1 lap following Chris, is like me trying to follow you for a 1/2 lap.
It really amazes me how Chris can gain time in every corner.
He is not a passive driver. Lol. That was a fun day for sure!
