Finally got some Dyno results.... road course set up
The records page hasn't been updated for this year but here is the video of his record laps all in the 1:53 range.
It's interesting to watch how much speed he carries through the corners to be able to pull off lap times like he does. Cervelli is an amazing driver and he helped me set up my 911 when I still had it and will probably have to employ him or someone else to help me set up my new car as triple adjustable suspension has been very frustrating to figure out. The nice thing with NASA is the contingency for tires if there are enough competitors in your class. I'll be at the April NASA event at HPR and probably the PCA event as well hope to see you there.

Give Chris a shout regarding the suspension. Pretty much all the race shops call him when they get stumped... I'll PM you my info and let's stay in touch..

Very, very nice (tq/hp just in case that wasn't clear 3 pages later). I'd love my car to do exactly this. I've said it before: it seems all I have to do is follow pwdrhound around the forums and copy everything he did to get my car to exacts where I want it. Everything from brakes to suspension to motor, etc.
Thanks for your excellent documentation, pwdrhound. Makes the decision-making process much easier.
The 3.8 conversion will be very nice. Adding some grunt down low will extend the useable powerband and make the car even more fun to drive.
Just out of curiosity: what did Ruf do with the intake?

Pretty much all the parts are in except for the exhaust and a few other bits and pieces. Out of curiosity, I weighed the OEM 996TT rods and they came in right at 571g each. The Pauter 996TT/RSR rods we are using weighed 536g each with ARP hardware. That's 1.16 oz. per rod lighter than OEM. Carillo rods in comparison come in at 540g with CARR hardware. Quality and finish of the Mahle Motorsport 3.8 pistons/liners looks top notch. Assembly starts next week...

Heads are almost done.... Note how the stock intake manifold does not properly match up with the head. Todd went the extra step by match porting the intake manifold to the head for a seamless transition. You can also see how much thinner the intake manifold wall is after his port work as he opened it up to funnel more air directly to the head.

I shipped my heads to him about two weeks ago and told him it's not a huge rush as I had other things holding me up. 2 weeks or so is the norm I would say depending whether you're doing custom made valves, etc. Todd has been doing this for over 22 years and takes each job seriously and doesn't rush it just to get it out the door. He is reusing my valves and adding in his valve train items like springs, guides, etc. which will make the valve train good for higher rpm than stock. For a cost estimate, contact Todd directly as each job will differ depending on parts..
Two weeks turnaround is impressive! I truly hope to not be doing an engine build any time soon but his head work looks worthwhile if I'm ever torn down to that point. Very good pictures of before and after too so you can see what you're getting.
Todd will provide those once it's all finished up. I'll post those once I have them. These are just prelim "in progress" photos he sent up.
