New Seats

Hound, the seats were $2300 and I have not gotten the bill for the leather and houndstooth yet, prolly a G or so. I'm pretty sure I got the last set of Recaro Pole Positions before they were discontinued (lost FIA rating). No concern to me as this is the street whip and I seriously doubt it will ever see the track.
My seats are done and I popped one in today, maybe the other one tomorrow but I know how we (all) are about pictures lol
Not that us modern day turbo fiens care, but Porsche offered this houndstooth option from 67 to 73.

Ha, ha, ha! I was just thinking it looks very '70s and I might add very good and very fitting for a Porsche.
Then I read, "Not that us modern day turbo fiens care, but Porsche offered this houndstooth option from 67 to 73."
From a moldy fig that was a P car enthusiast back then and an owner of a couple of '70's examples.

No track for this one and interestingly enough (for me) it's the stock seats that aggregate my back and the main reason I switched to fixed backs as they fit my body type perfectly. This is my race car seat…not the most comfortable, but then the adrenaline is so intense you don't feel the pain lol. It's all about weight anyway and this cf shell from Reverie weighs in less than 5 lbs. While the Recaro Pole Positions are relatively light they are nothing in comparison to the stockers with all the heat, and motor crap. Most of you are probably aware and if not you should be that Recaro lost their FIA rating on the Pole Position late in 2014. They are illegal as race seats in any series that requires FIA rating. Great seat, super comfy, but not what you want in your race car. I was told I got the last set manufactured by Recaro in Germany….
